4/24/21: I didn’t catch much in my short amount of time spent out and about this afternoon. Here is a westbound grain train, with UP 6620 in the lead, passing the Landus Cooperative just east of Boone, Iowa. They stopped in downtown Boone for a quick crew change. Another train was coming into town from the west. My guess is that it was the NPSS, and that it was heading into the yard as soon as the 6620 cleared. Plenty of track work going on around Boone over the past couple of days – lots of workers and equipment. The second shot shows the 6620 passing the site of the new Highway 17 overpass.
